Controller data

Stick positions, button states, trigger values, timestamps and every calculated result are processed entirely within your browser. None of it is transmitted to any server, and none of it is used for advertising.

Reports are only stored if you choose Save to history, in which case they are written to this browser's local storage on this device. Clear Test History removes them immediately.

Permissions

GamePadTestLab requests no access to your microphone, camera, location, contacts or files. Reading a connected gamepad requires no permission prompt — the browser reveals the device only after you press a button.

There is no account, no sign-in and no email collection to use the diagnostics.

Advertising

The site is supported by advertising. Ad partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure and deliver ads, subject to your consent where consent is legally required.

Where consent is required, personalised advertising is not enabled until you have given it. Ad partners never receive your controller readings, because those readings never leave your browser.

Analytics

Aggregated product analytics may record which pages are visited and which tests are started or completed — for example that a drift test finished. No stick coordinates, button data or report contents are ever included in an analytics event.

Your choices

You can clear saved reports at any time with Clear Test History, clear site data in your browser settings, and change or withdraw advertising consent where a consent prompt is shown.
