Privacy policy
Your controller inputs stay on this device. This page explains that in full, along with what advertising and analytics can and cannot see.
Controller data
Stick positions, button states, trigger values, timestamps and every calculated result are processed entirely within your browser. None of it is transmitted to any server, and none of it is used for advertising.
Reports are only stored if you choose Save to history, in which case they are written to this browser's local storage on this device. Clear Test History removes them immediately.
Permissions
GamePadTestLab requests no access to your microphone, camera, location, contacts or files. Reading a connected gamepad requires no permission prompt — the browser reveals the device only after you press a button.
There is no account, no sign-in and no email collection to use the diagnostics.
Advertising
The site uses Google AdSense when advertising is configured. Google and its partners may process browser, device and network information and may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure and deliver ads, subject to their settings and legal obligations.
Controller readings are not included in ad requests because those readings remain inside the diagnostic code running in your browser. Advertising privacy choices and consent availability can vary by region and the live AdSense configuration.
Analytics
When configured, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity may record page usage and technical information such as the page visited, browser context, and whether a named test was started or completed. The site does not initialise these analytics tools when the browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.
No stick coordinates, individual button values, raw controller identifiers or report contents are included in the product events sent by GamePadTestLab.
Your choices
You can clear saved reports at any time with Clear Test History, remove site data in your browser settings, use browser tracking protections, and use any advertising privacy controls made available for your region.
The feedback and support page explains what information is useful when investigating an unexpected diagnostic result. It does not collect personal information or controller reports.
