- Browsers only reveal a pad after it sends its first input — press a face button or move a stick.
- Both USB and Bluetooth work. If nothing appears at all, reconnect the controller and press a button with this page focused.
- Some remapping tools claim the pad before the browser sees it. If nothing shows up, try closing them and reloading.
- Chrome or Edge expose the most controller features, including vibration.

What good trigger behaviour looks like
A healthy analog trigger rests at 0.000, climbs smoothly as you pull, and reaches very close to 1.000 at the stop. Both triggers should reach a similar maximum.
A resting value above zero means the trigger is not returning fully — often a spring or debris issue. A maximum well below 1.000 means it is not reaching its full electrical range.
Limits worth knowing
Browsers read trigger position, but they cannot control resistance. On a DualSense the adaptive trigger force is not adjustable from a web page.
Firmware and driver differences change how travel is reported, so compare your two triggers against each other rather than against another person's numbers.
Frequently asked questions
- My trigger jumps straight from 0 to 1 — is that a fault?
- Usually not. Some pads and adapters report triggers as digital buttons, so there is no travel to show. Test the same pad over USB if you can, which often restores analog reporting.
- One trigger maxes at 0.85 and the other at 1.00. Does that matter?
- In games that use trigger pressure for acceleration or braking, yes — the weaker side will feel short. It is worth cleaning and retesting before replacing anything.
- Can I test PS5 adaptive trigger resistance here?
- No. The standard browser interface reads how far a trigger is pulled but cannot drive or read the adaptive resistance mechanism.
- Why does the resting value creep up while I play?
- Heat and grip pressure can shift the reading slightly. A steady, repeatable non-zero rest is more meaningful than a brief change.
